Who We Are
Destiny Of Hope Foundation was founded in May 2019 by Destinye Elaine Mclean. We are located in the city of Dayton, Ohio.
I came across a situation where a young man got discharged from a facility I was working in and went to a homeless shelter, that night he got stabbed 7 times. We received a call from the neighboring hospital needing information on him, unfortunately, he didn’t make it. The same week another one of my patients got discharged and had nowhere to go, no family came during his stay, and no family came to pick him up on discharge. His fate was the shelter, I asked the management to please release him to me. I have empty houses, and I can afford to give up a room to save a life.
Since then, I have been saving less fortunate elderly from homelessness, abusive situations at the shelters, women being on the street for days in the cold, contemplating suicide, and some have attempted suicide.
Destiny of Hope needs assistance to cover utilities and purchase recreational items for the individuals in my care.
